Other Ways to Give Save Lives Through Planned and Employer Giving
We welcome creative ways to help our animals. Below are a few but we welcome your ideas too! Have an idea for a donation that you don’t see listed here? Contact donate@homewardtrails.org for assistance.
Workplace Giving and Employer Matching
Check with your company or organization about whether they offer to match employee’s financial contributions to non-profit organizations like Homeward Trails. Additionally, many employers also have Dollars for Doers programs when they will donate money to an organization where an employee volunteers.
Many companies also make it easy to donate to the charity of your choice through automatic payroll deduction. Check with your HR department for more information.
Gift Stocks or Securities
Consult your financial advisor about gifting stocks or other securities. Not only are these gifts a tremendous help to the animals, the tax benefits for donors can also be great.
IRA Distributions and Donor Advised Funds
Donor advised funds are a no hassle way to donate to non-profits while also receiving maximum tax benefits. Talk to your financial advisor about setting up a Donor Advised Fund.
Distributions from an IRA can be another great, tax saving way to donate to Homeward Trails.

Leave a Legacy for the Animals
Leave a legacy for the animals by designating funds from your will or estate to Homeward Trails. Your love and compassion will live on through an estate gift that will help the most vulnerable animals. Consult your legal professional about how to include Homeward Trail in your estate planning and what information you will need.
Questions regarding any of these ways of giving or any required forms can be sent to donate@homewardtrails.org.
