Poor Brownie had been abandoned at a high-kill rural shelter in far southwest Va. Thanks to a wonderful foster family, we were able to save Brownie's life and get her out of the shelter!

Brownie is a happy-go-lucky girl, and loves her people -- well, she loves all people and other dogs, too! She'd love trips to the dog park, doggie play dates, or a canine sibling.

She has been house trained and crate trained in her foster home, and loves pets and attention from her people.

Brownie is an active girl who will do well with an active person or family, or someone who wants to be active!

On walks she is just so happy, and loves to explore everything she can sniff. Contact us ASAP so you don't miss out on this wonderful girl!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering by visiting http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program

Thank you!
