HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH:
CATS: Austin is great with other cats and enjoys actively playing with them. He can be a bit of a drama queen so doesn't like too much rough physical play. He does require a welcoming, friendly cat.
DOGS: We haven't seen Austin with dogs, but they may be a little intimidating for him so it would need to be a calm dog who gives him space.
KIDS: Austin prefers a quiet home so older children who can give him space when he wants it would be best. He can be a bit of a nervous nelly.
KNOWN LIKES: Food, treats like Churus, comfy beds, lots and lots of snuggle time with people he trusts, laser pointer and toys
KNOWN DISLIKES: Loud noises, rough play, touching anywhere near his butt.
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Austin is quite the cuddler and sweetest cat around! He's very treat motivated and loves his yummy food and chasing ribbon wands. Austin is over the top affectionate with his foster mom, but he is a nervous cat who will run and hide from strangers. He was born with a rare medical issue and required anoplasty surgery as a young kitten. While his colon and anus are working better, it's not 100% and likely never will be. Austin requires medication daily to keep his stool moving through his body and him feeling well, which he'll always need. Through all the meds and the surgery and recovery, Austin has been an angel. He's growing up in a foster home, and while he's loved and well cared for, we'd much rather see him in a forever home.
Austin is full of energy and loves playing with his kitty friends. He will need a special adopter who understands and is able to support his ongoing medical needs. He needs a welcoming kitty friend who will not be too rough with him (he can be a drama queen), and he will not be considered as a single cat. He can be adopted with one of his foster friends if you don't have a resident cat. While he does require added care, Austin is worth every minute of the added attention. He really is quite a wonderful, affectionate, little guy! He's also an amazing work from home buddy:) To help Austin find the right home, a kind supporter has sponsored his adoption fee!
