ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Norman Lear is a five-year-old terrier mix who was brought to Homeward Trails from one of our partner shelters situated in a rural region. He was rescued from a hoarding situation where numerous dogs were forced to live in deplorable conditions, surrounded by feces. The dogs that were removed from this environment had suffered abuse, and Norman was found in a state of severe emaciation. Given his horrific life, you would think he is scared or angry, but he's not. He trusts people and is a happy go lucky boy.
Named in honor of the esteemed producer, writer, and activist, Norman Lear is currently in the care of a foster caregiver at Homeward Trails, eagerly awaiting his forever home. He enjoys playing with toys and spending time with his human companions. He is familiar with commands such as sit, down, speak, and fetch. Norman delights in running around the backyard and snuggling with his foster caregiver while watching television. He approaches everyone with his striking black eyes, seeking attention and belly rubs. His affectionate nature includes a love for snuggling and cuddling. He is both house and crate trained, making him an excellent candidate for a family pet.
